This April, the Arizona Region of the Classic Car Club of America and the Rolls-Royce Owners Club gathered together for a special docent lead tour of Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion at the Phoenix Art Museum. This fascinating look at Dutch designer Iris van Herpen’s contemporary fashions revealed her use of 3-D printing and was enjoyed by all.

Our joint club outing continued with a review of the exceptional Mercedes-Benz collection of Dr. Phillip Lutfy. His hospitality and wonderful garage full of post-war Mercedes was surely a highlight for all the passionate collectors from both clubs. Phil’s collection includes a 300SL “Gullwing” and a 220 SE Coupe, both purchased new by his parents!

The day concluded with a delicious lunch on the patio at the Biltmore. With many vintage cars lining the valet parking, the group enjoyed a leisurely meal and great conversation. Our sincere thanks to Tim Dunne, president of the Arizona Region Rolls-Royce Owners Club and our own Harry Clark for organizing this wonderful event.
